1. App help
Liberty App is your client zone — it shows your mortgage cases, the documents your bank or advisor needs from you, and your conversations with your team.
1.1 Signing in
You sign in with email and password, or by scanning a QR code from the web client zone. Your advisor creates your account — you cannot create a new account yourself in the app. Up to three devices can be connected to one account. If you forget your password, you can reset it by email.
1.2 Cases
This section shows an overview of your mortgage cases — name, status, progress through milestones, and the assigned Liberty Choice staff. Cases can be filtered as Active or Archived. The case detail view shows milestones, your team, documents, and a chat tied to that specific case.
1.3 My tasks
This section collects the documents your advisor or the bank needs from you across all of your cases in one place. You can upload a document three ways: by scanning it, by taking a photo, or by selecting a file from your phone. A task with several required parts cannot be submitted until all parts are complete.
1.4 Dashboard
The app's opening screen — it shows the total value of your assets, pending tasks, your current case milestone, and recent conversations. You can toggle between a tasks view and a cases view.
1.5 Chats
Conversations tied to a specific case, where you communicate with members of your team. You can turn notifications for new messages on or off in Settings.
1.6 Settings
Here you manage: your profile, the app language (Czech, Slovak, English), your archive of uploaded documents, contacts for your team, notifications, reporting a bug, and account deletion.
1.7 Did not find what you were looking for?
For anything related to a specific case, message your advisor directly in chat. For anything else, contact info@libertychoice.cz.
2. Terms of Use for the Liberty App mobile application
These terms govern the use of the Liberty App mobile application. Please read them before you start using the app — by signing in you agree to them.
2.1 Who operates the app
The Liberty App application is operated by Liberty Choice s.r.o., registered office Plynární 1617/10, Holešovice, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic, company ID 24975460, registered in the Commercial Register: oddíl C, vložka 446420, kept at the Municipal Court in Prague (the "operator" or "we"). You can reach us at info@libertychoice.cz or by phone at +420 601 555 176.
2.2 Who the app is for and where it is available
The app is intended for existing Liberty Choice clients and other people involved in handling client cases. The app does not allow you to create a new account — access arises from your client relationship with Liberty Choice.
The app is offered in the following countries: Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. The minimum user age is 18 years. The app is available for Android and iOS. You need a supported device and an internet connection to use it; connection costs are yours.
2.3 Relationship to other Liberty Choice services
The app is a tool for overview and communication. It neither replaces nor changes the contracts you have entered into with Liberty Choice or its partners. If a figure shown in the app conflicts with your contractual documentation, the contractual documentation prevails.
2.4 Account, sign-in and keeping access secure
You sign in with an email and password, or by scanning a pairing QR code Liberty Choice makes available to you. Your credentials are personal and must not be shared with anyone else.
You are responsible for all activity carried out under your sign-in.
If you lose your device or suspect your access has been misused, contact the operator immediately so they can revoke the session.
The operator may sign a device out or restrict access where necessary to keep the service secure.
2.5 Your obligations when using the app
You undertake that:
the information you enter or upload in the app will be true, accurate and up to date;
you will not use the app for unlawful purposes or in a way that could disrupt its operation or security;
you will not attempt to circumvent security measures, gain unauthorised access to other users' data, or reverse engineer the app beyond what the law permits;
you will not further distribute or make the app or its content available to third parties without operator consent.
2.6 Rules for chat and document uploads
Chat is for communication between you, your advisors and other members of your case. Upload and send only content related to handling the case.
Do not upload content you are not entitled to disclose, or content that is unlawful, offensive or infringes the rights of others.
By uploading a document you grant us the right to store it, display it to authorised case members and process it to the extent needed to provide the service.
The operator may refuse or remove content that breaches these rules.
Chat content and documents are not end-to-end encrypted between users; the server side of the service accesses them.
The app is not intended for reporting urgent or emergency situations and does not guarantee that messages will be read immediately.
2.7 Documents containing other people's data
If you upload a document containing personal data of another person — for example a co-applicant or a spouse — you confirm that you are entitled to pass that data to Liberty Choice and you are responsible for having informed the person concerned. How the operator handles such data is described in chapter 3 of this document.
2.8 What the financial figures in the app mean
The app shows summary financial indicators compiled from data held in Liberty Choice systems:
Indicator | How it is derived |
|---|---|
Total value | Sum of asset values based on the latest valuation or purchase price, adjusted for your ownership share, plus the current value of investments. |
Bonita / borrowing capacity | The non-negative difference between the total value and outstanding loan balances. |
Monthly | Sum of the monthly instalments of the recorded loans. |
These figures are indicative. They are based on the data available to the operator and may not reflect the current situation or market reality. In particular:
the indicator labelled "Bonita" is not a credit score and is not a creditworthiness assessment carried out by a bank or any other lender;
the figures shown are not an offer or a promise of a loan, insurance or any other financial product;
the figures shown are not a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold any particular product;
an actual assessment of your situation is always carried out by the relevant product provider under its own rules.
Regulatory information: The application is an informative tool. It displays an overview of your own cases, documents and property that Liberty Choice manages for you, and enables communication with your advisor. It does not itself provide advice or credit or insurance brokering and cannot be used to conclude a financial services contract. Licensed entities and their authorisations: not applicable — the application does not itself provide a regulated financial service. Supervisory authority: Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2 (supervision over compliance with consumer protection regulations).
2.9 Availability and changes to the app
The operator aims for continuous availability but does not guarantee it. Operation may be limited by maintenance, updates or circumstances beyond their control. The operator develops the app continuously — individual features may be changed, limited or discontinued. Material changes will be announced in the app or by e-mail with reasonable notice.
2.10 Limitation of liability
The operator is liable for damage caused by breaching their obligations to the extent set out by law. In particular, they are not liable for:
the consequences of decisions you make solely on the basis of the indicative figures shown in the app;
unavailability of the app caused by a failure of the network, your device, the operating system or a third-party service;
non-delivery or delayed delivery of a push notification, whose delivery is provided by third-party services;
handling of a document after you save it elsewhere from the app or open it in another application;
misuse of access arising because you shared your credentials with someone else or did not secure your device.
If you are a consumer, this clause does not affect the rights granted to you by mandatory provisions of law.
2.11 Intellectual property
The app, its content, design, trade marks and software are protected by intellectual property law and belong to the operator or its licensors. The operator grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for your own needs for as long as your access lasts. Content you put into the app remains yours.
2.12 Ending use and closing the account
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. You can request account deletion in the app Settings or by email — the procedure, deadlines and scope of erasure are described in chapter 4 of this document.
The operator may restrict or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if your client relationship with Liberty Choice ends, or where required by law. Terminating access does not end obligations meant to survive it — in particular the obligation to retain data under the law.
2.13 Complaints and contact
Send any comment, complaint or claim to info@libertychoice.cz. The operator will handle your submission without undue delay. You can report a technical problem directly in the app Settings using "Report a problem".
If you are a consumer and the operator cannot resolve a dispute directly, you have the right to turn to an alternative dispute resolution body. The general body in the Czech Republic is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Prague 1, adr.coi.cz. A different body may be competent for disputes concerning financial services: Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, www.coi.cz — the body for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes under Law No. 634/1992 Coll.
2.14 Governing law and final provisions
These terms and the relationships arising from them are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes that cannot be settled by agreement will be decided by the courts of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory rules of the country of your habitual residence.
The operator may change these terms, in particular where the app's features or the law change. The current wording is always available on the Liberty Choice website; the effective date and version are shown in the header of this document. If you disagree with a change, you may stop using the app.
3. Privacy Policy for the Liberty App mobile application
This policy describes how we handle the personal data of users of the Liberty App mobile application: what data the app processes, why we need it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights.
3.1 Who processes your personal data
The data controller is Liberty Choice s.r.o., registered office Plynární 1617/10, Holešovice, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic, company ID 24975460, Commercial Register: oddíl C, vložka 446420 (Municipal Court in Prague). 3.2 Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the Liberty App mobile application (Android and iOS, identifier cz.libertychoice.kzapp) and server-side processing at tapi.libertychoice.cz. Accounting, tax, archiving, statutory obligations | Legal compliance |
Establishing/exercising/defending legal claims | Legitimate interest |
The app contains no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics tools, marketing profiling, or cross-app/website tracking.
3.6 Documents, chat content, and third-party data
Uploaded documents and chat messages may contain sensitive personal data (identity documents, dates of birth, national ID numbers, income/bank statements, asset information). Upload only documents genuinely necessary for your case. Uploaded documents may contain other people's personal data (co-applicants, spouses) — you are responsible for having the right to share such data and for informing those individuals.
Chat content and documents are not end-to-end encrypted between users — the server accesses content to store, display to authorised members, and process it. Scanned pages are converted to PDF-embedded images; typical metadata is generally removed but no formal guarantee is given.
3.7 Data recipients
Liberty Choice staff (advisors and case handlers with role-matched, sometimes time-limited access); Liberty Choice group companies — Liberty Real Estate s.r.o. (ID 21108978) and Liberty Finance s.r.o. (ID 21666954); the processors listed below; and public authorities as legally required.
3.8 Processors and third-party services
Supplier | Purpose and scope | Location and safeguards |

3.9 Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Where transfers occur, appropriate safeguards apply, including European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (details per processor in the table above). For copies of safeguards or further information, contact gdpr@libertychoice.cz.
3.10 Data retention periods
Data category | Retention period |
|---|---|
User account and profile | During contract and 1 year after |
Sign-in and session data, device tokens | Until sign-out, maximum 30 days from last activity |
Client cases and history | During contract and 3 years after |
Uploaded documents | During contract and 3 years after |
Chat content | During contract and 1 year after |
Financial overview and inputs | During contract only |
Accounting and tax records | 5 years from end of relevant accounting period |
AML regulation data | Not applicable — the app does not provide a regulated financial service |
Crash reports and diagnostics (Sentry) | 30 days |
Server and audit logs | 6 months |
Backups | 14 days |
After these periods expire, data is deleted or anonymised so individuals cannot be identified.
3.11 Security measures
All app-server communication uses HTTPS and secure websocket connections with encryption. Sign-in tokens are stored in system secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore). Case/conversation/document access is governed by roles and permissions, with auditable access changes. Employees and contractors with data access are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Data stored on your phone: scanned documents, file previews, and diagnostic logs are stored in app storage and are not automatically deleted on sign-out or on an account deletion request. Remove them by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in OS settings.
3.12 Device permissions and optional features
Permission | Use |
|---|---|
Camera | Scanning the sign-in QR code and photographing documents; the app is usable without this permission, just without these features. |
Notifications | Showing alerts for new chat messages; can be disabled anytime. |
File selection | Uploading documents from phone storage via the system file picker (no full gallery/storage access). |
The app does not collect location data, read your address book, use the microphone, or record audio or video. Saving a team member's contact only opens the system contact-creation form with prefilled details for your confirmation.
3.13 Your rights
You have the right to: access your personal data and obtain a copy; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; erasure where no processing ground exists; restrict processing; data portability for data you provided that is processed automatically under contract or consent; object to processing based on legitimate interest; withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing; and not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing with legal effects (the app performs no such decision-making).
To exercise your rights, contact gdpr@libertychoice.cz; identity verification is required before we can act on a request. You may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.gov.cz, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
3.14 Age limit
The app is intended for Liberty Choice clients and is not directed at children. The minimum user age is 18 years. If we discover that data of a younger person was processed without the required authorisation, we will delete it.
3.15 Policy changes
We may update this policy if the app changes or the law changes. The current wording is always available on the Liberty Choice website; the effective date and version appear in the header. Material changes will be communicated via the app or by email with reasonable notice.
4. Account deletion and data erasure
Liberty Choice operates the Liberty App (identifier: cz.libertychoice.kzapp) and provides this section as guidance for users requesting account deletion and personal data erasure under GDPR.
4.1 How to request deletion
In-app: Go to Settings → "Other" → "Delete account" and confirm. This sends a deletion request to our team; data is not deleted immediately.
By email: Contact gdpr@libertychoice.cz from your registered email address with your name and contact information.
By post: Written requests are accepted at Liberty Choice s.r.o., Plynární 1617/10, 170 00 Praha 7.
4.2 Identity verification
A request sent from the app is already verified by your sign-in. Email and postal requests require additional identity verification before processing.
4.3 Scope of deletion
We delete or anonymise your user account, profile, authentication tokens, device records, chat content, uploaded documents, and case-related information. Data we must retain by law — accounting records, audit logs, AML-related data where applicable — is anonymised so you can no longer be identified.
4.4 Mandatory retention
Certain categories have fixed retention periods: accounting and tax records (5 years), AML-related data where applicable, audit logs (6 months), and backups (14 days). Case histories are retained for 3 years after the end of the client relationship.
4.5 Processing timeline
We confirm receipt of your request within 7 days and complete processing within 30 days, extendable by 2 months for complex cases with prior notification. You will receive a completion notification at your registered email address.
4.6 Data on your device
Deletion applies only to server-side data. You must manually remove cached documents, file previews, and diagnostic records from your device — through Settings, or by uninstalling the application.
